Virginio “Eddie” Enriquez is a highly accomplished industry leader with over 45 years of distinguished experience in the welding, inspection, and testing industry, serving both Florida and international markets. As the CEO of NWIS, LLC, he brings a legacy of technical excellence, precision, and integrity, establishing himself as a trusted authority in structural integrity, quality assurance, and infrastructure development.
A seasoned Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for over four decades, Eddie is also a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Specialist, with advanced expertise across multiple inspection methodologies. His capabilities include Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), specifically Ultrasonic Thickness Testing and Shear Wave Testing, holding a Level II certification in all methods. His expertise further extends into nuclear density gauge testing, soil testing, concrete testing, as well as certifications in pile driving and drilled shafts, providing a comprehensive and highly specialized approach to construction materials and structural evaluation.
Throughout his extensive career, Eddie has played a key role in some of the most significant and technically demanding projects in the United States and abroad. His portfolio includes contributions to landmark and critical infrastructure such as the World Trade Center in New York, the Verrazano Bridge Rehabilitation (NY), the New York Power Authority, and projects involving nuclear plant infrastructure, demonstrating his ability to perform at the highest levels of compliance, safety, and engineering precision.
His experience spans major industrial, commercial, and energy sectors, including work with Pillsbury (Pennsylvania), Genetec Pharmaceutical (Connecticut), Sun Oil Refinery (Pennsylvania), and Buckeye Fuel Storage (Bahamas). Eddie has also been actively involved in logistics systems testing and rail connectivity, working with CSX, Conrail, and Amtrak rail systems, as well as contributing to new rail developments in Florida, including double-track systems and the Brightline (Virgin Trains USA) corridor.
In addition, his collaboration with Miami Crane Management further reflects his broad impact across heavy structural operations and equipment systems.
