NDT: (Nondestructive Testing)

Visual Testing:

Visual inspection (VT), the most important form of NDT, is a process carried out throughout all stages of a project to check for weld quality and soundness. During this testing method, the weld is examined directly with the eyes using natural or artificial light(DVT) or remotely with specialized equipment, such as cameras or drones, to capture visual data(RVT) to determine the presence of any surface discontinuities.

Magnetic particle Testing:

Magnetic particle inspection (MT), is a form of NDT used to detect surface and slightly subsurface flaws in ferromagnetic materials like carbon steel. It is used routinely to inspect welds, piping, pressure vessels and structural steel components.

Penetrant Testing:

Liquid-dye penetrant testing (PT), is a form of NDT which uses contrasting dyes to penetrate and make visible any casting, forging and welding surface-breaking defects such as hairline cracks, surface porosity, leaks in new products, and fatigue cracks on in-service components.

Ultrasound Testing:

Ultrasonic inspections (UT),is a form of NDT that passes high frequency sound waves through the weld and heat affected zone. This is done using different probe angles to ensure the entire weld has been examined. Imperfections are evaluated to a specific standard and results of the test are then recorded.

Welder Certification:

Welder Workshop:

We offer a 1.5 hour, hands-on, comprehensive workshop session for welding veterans and beginners alike. For those of you looking to take the welder certification exam but are unsure if you’re ready, these sessions will allow you necessary time to get acquainted with our instructor and our equipment, and the chance to iron out any doubts about your technique so you’ll be better prepared to pass the test. For those looking to start their welding journey as a potential career or maybe just a hobby, these workshops will provide you the experience you need to develop proper technique and weld with confidence.

Certified Welder Exam:

As an AWS Accredited Testing Facility, we provide testing for all welders looking to be certified through AWS or otherwise. We cover all major welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GTAW. If you are a business owner with multiple welders and you find it difficult to pull them away from their work to take the exam, we also offer the option of visiting your business to witness the testing of your applicants.
